Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-09-20
This policy explains what Sahen collects when you use the app to subscribe to a kitchen’s meal packages, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. Sahen operates in Jordan; this policy is written to the stricter, GDPR-shaped standard as a safer baseline for everyone using the app, wherever they are.
What we collect, and why
Account identity: your name, email address, and phone number, collected when you create an account. We use this to identify your account, let you sign in (by a one-time email code or with Google), and contact you about your orders.
Delivery address and location: the address you save for delivery, including the map pin (geographic coordinates) you drop when placing it. We use this so the kitchen’s driver can find you and complete your delivery. We do not collect your location in the background — only the pin you place on the map for an address.
Order and subscription history: the meal packages, programs, and individual meals you choose, your delivery schedule, pauses and resumes, and your credit balance (how many prepaid meal-days you have left). We use this to run your subscription, generate your daily orders, and show you your own order history.
Push notification token: a device identifier issued by Apple (or Google, on Android) that lets us send you a notification when your order is on its way or has been delivered. We do not use this identifier for advertising.
Payment records: because Sahen does not process card payments in the app, we record only what payment method you used (cash on delivery, CliQ bank transfer, or a manually recorded payment) and the amount and status of that payment — never a card number, since none is ever collected.
Who we share it with
The kitchen you subscribe to sees what it needs to prepare and fulfill your order: your name, delivery address, phone number, and your order and program selections for that kitchen. Kitchens on Sahen are independent businesses; each one only sees its own customers.
The kitchen’s delivery driver sees your name, delivery address, phone number, and any delivery notes you leave — what is needed to complete the drop-off, and nothing about your account beyond that.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Sahen does not integrate an advertising or analytics SDK in the mobile app, so no data described here is used for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
We may share data with a service provider strictly to operate the platform (for example, our cloud hosting and database provider, or the service that delivers push notifications and transactional email), bound to use it only to provide that service to us.
We may disclose information if required by Jordanian law or a valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a customer, driver, or kitchen.
How long we keep it
While your account is active, we keep your account, address, and order data so the app and your subscription keep working.
When you delete your account, we remove your personal identifiers — your name, contact details, and saved addresses. Financial and order records (what was purchased, when, for how much, and its payment status) are retained after deletion with those personal identifiers removed, because kitchens and Sahen have a legitimate accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution need to keep a record that an order and payment occurred, even once we can no longer tell whose order it was.
Push notification tokens are deleted when you sign out or delete your account, or automatically once they stop working.
Your rights
You can access the personal data we hold about you and correct anything that is wrong — most of it (your name, email, phone, and saved addresses) you can view and edit yourself in the app under Account.
You can delete your account and personal data directly in the app, under Account. This removes your personal identifiers as described in “How long we keep it” above; it does not, and legally cannot, erase the underlying financial and order records that a kitchen or Sahen must be able to account for.
If you would rather not use the in-app deletion flow, or have any other question about your data, contact us using the details on the Support page and we will handle it directly.
Children
Sahen is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
