Sahen vs KitchenFuel
Updated October 31, 2026
What KitchenFuel is
KitchenFuel describes itself as an all-in-one meal prep software platform. It combines a back-end admin dashboard, a customizable sales website built for meal prep, and marketing tools. According to its site, it serves existing meal prep operators, catering businesses that want to add recurring subscription orders, and restaurants or ghost kitchens starting a meal prep line.
Its published features include a meal calendar for scheduling upcoming weeks and setting when the live menu rotates, customer logins with subscription discounts, AI meal recommendations based on past orders, and the ability for customers to pause, cancel or change future orders. In the kitchen it offers cooking reports with macronutrients and ingredients, printable package labels with nutrition and customer details, and distribution route planning. Its site says delivery integrations are coming soon.
Sahen is an operating system for meal-subscription kitchens built around one daily loop: weekly menu, subscriber picks per eating day, one automatic cutoff, a production sheet, and delivery through a driver app.

Where KitchenFuel is stronger
- Selling online. KitchenFuel gives you a meal-prep storefront with a visual cart, nutrition information, a macronutrient calculator, SEO support and a referral program. If your growth depends on search traffic to your own website, this is a real advantage. Sahen gives subscribers an app and a web page, but it is not a marketing website builder.
- Marketing tools. Its site lists email marketing, CRM, gift cards and loyalty. Sahen does not offer customer acquisition or a marketplace.
- Card payments. KitchenFuel uses Stripe as its standard processor, at 2.9% + 30¢ per successful charge, and says other processors are available on request. Sahen has no card gateway yet.
- Analytics. Sales analytics and a meal profitability calculator are listed on its site.
- Self-serve start. KitchenFuel offers a 14-day free trial and says setup takes about 48 hours on average. Sahen also has a 14-day trial, but onboarding is by invitation.
Where Sahen is stronger
- A fixed daily cutoff. Sahen freezes orders automatically at one cutoff per day, so the production sheet never moves after the kitchen starts cooking. KitchenFuel does not publish how cutoffs work. Read how cutoff works.
- Picks per eating day. Subscribers choose meals for each day they eat, and skips, pauses and eating-pattern changes flow straight into the next cutoff.
- Driver app. Sahen includes a driver app with zones, manifests, 80mm bag receipts with QR codes, and a push notification to the customer at each delivery stage. KitchenFuel publishes route planning but not a driver app.
- Branded mobile apps. Your subscribers use an iOS and Android app in your kitchen's own name. KitchenFuel does not publish branded mobile apps.
- Prepaid credits. Meal-credit packs are recorded in an append-only ledger, so every balance question has a line-by-line answer.
- Local payments. Cash on delivery, bank transfer with a reference, and CliQ in Jordan, with no per-order commission.
- Arabic and RTL. The customer app works in English and Arabic with a full right-to-left layout. KitchenFuel does not publish language support.

Pricing model
KitchenFuel did not publish plan prices on its home page when we checked. The only cost it states there is card processing through Stripe, at 2.9% + 30¢ per successful charge, and it says it adds no transaction fees of its own.
Sahen charges a flat monthly or yearly fee based on how many active subscriptions you run, with tiers up to 50, 200 and 1,000. Yearly costs ten times the monthly fee, there is no setup fee, and there is no per-order commission. Because Sahen does not process cards, you pay no card fees through it either. See pricing.
Who should choose which
Choose KitchenFuel if you sell mostly by card, your customers find you through your website and search, you want built-in email marketing and loyalty, and you operate in a market where English is enough.
Choose Sahen if your customers pay cash or by bank transfer, you run your own drivers, you want subscribers to pick meals in your own branded app, and you need Arabic with right-to-left support. It is also a good fit if late changes and balance disputes are where you lose the most time, because the cutoff and the ledger are built to end both.
Neither may fit if you mainly run a restaurant counter or ship meal kits nationally.
